Off-Target Prompt Results VI

While working on my project to create abstract depictions of pathogenic microbial eukaryotes and worms (see here), some of my prompts to Stable Diffusion didn't produce an image in the style that I wanted. But they still produced something interesting. For many of them, I have no idea what part of the prompt the AI latched onto or what similar word the AI went with.

This was supposed to be Anisakis. Apparently the AI thought that "Anisa" refers to a female.

This was supposed to be Ascaris.

This was supposed to be Babesia. I think it's pretty clear how the AI interpreted this genus name.

This was supposed to be Balamuthia. Apparently the AI made an association with India.

This was supposed to be Blastocystis. If you squint, some of these look like blasts.

This was supposed to be Brugia. Maybe the AI interpreted this as Bruges, a city in Belgium.

This was supposed to be Clonorchis. Looks like the AI went with "orchid".

This was supposed to be Dracunculus. I expected the AI to go with "Dracula" but instead it went with flowers. There is a flower called Ranunculus, but none of these are a Ranunculus.

This was supposed to be Fasciola.

This was supposed to be Giardia. I really liked how the AI interpreted this one, so I made a few extras.

This was supposed to be Hymenolepis.

This was supposed to be Necator.

This was supposed to be Onchocerca.

This was supposed to be Opisthorchis.

This was supposed to be Plasmodium. The read is probably by association with blood plasma.

This was supposed to be Pythium. I'm guessing that since Pythium is primarily a plant pathogen, most of the images in the original data set that Stable Diffusion was trained on were probably of signs and symptoms on plant leaves.

This was supposed to be Strongyloides.

This was supposed to be Taenia.

This was supposed to be Toxocara.

This was supposed to be Toxoplasma. The primary host for this infectious eukaryote is cats, which showed up more often than not.

This was supposed to be Trichinella.

This was supposed to be Trichuris.

This was supposed to be Wuchereria. Maybe the AI interpreted this as churrería, which is a store that specializes in Spanish and Portuguese fried cinnamon pastries called churros.

These illustrations were drawn using Stable Diffusion 2.1.
